One aspect of my work is my large abstract pieces, all of which are influenced by my experiences of living with a condition called PMDD - a hormonal condition that can severely effect my mood and relationships, it can be an isolating roller coaster that rises and falls each and every month, thus giving me and endless supply of inspiration, from which i am attempting to make something beautiful from something painful, make the intangible tangible. Giving these emotions a permanent place in the world outside of me, separating it from myself so it can be viewed as an entity in its own right. I also want to raise awareness about the condition, that effects many many women, but isn't really talked about because of the stigma attached to it. I'm hoping that my works can help other sufferers know they aren't alone.
All pieces are created organically using Acrylic and emulsion paint.
